Top High Dividend Stocks To Invest In 2015

A recent article on Benzinga detailed how to use sniper tactics to buy stocks when the dividend yields are higher.

The method involved setting a dividend yield as the target, and then buying at that price. From that, the stock has a lower price and a higher dividend yield.

There are many blue chip stocks with high dividends and high betas such as BP PLC (NYSE: BP), the major oil firm, and Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) -- the world's largest heavy equipment maker and a member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Another one to consider is Cohen & Steers Inc (NYSE: CNS), an asset manager based in New York City.

Advisors' Opinion:
  • [By Roberto Pedone]

National Bank of Greece (NBG) is engaged in providing financial services, including retail and commercial banking, global investment management, investment banking, insurance, investment activities and securities trading. This stock closed up 2.5% to $3.61 in Tuesday's trading session.

    Tuesday's Range: $3.49-$3.70

    52-Week Range: $2.85-$32.50

    Tuesday's Volume: 3.59 million

    Three-Month Average Volume: 3.59 million

From a technical perspective, NBG bounced modestly higher here right above some near-term support at $3.20 with solid upside volume. This stock has been crushed over the last two months, with shares drooping from over $8 to its low of $2.85. Since that drop, the stock has started to stabilize and it's now moving within range of triggering a major breakout trade. That trade will hit if NBG manages to take out some near-term overhead resistance at $3.88 with high volume.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in NBG as long as it's trending above $3.20 and then once it sustains a move or close above $3.88 with volume that hits near or above 3.59 million shares. If that breakout triggers soon, then NBG will set up to re-test or possibly take out its next major overhead resistance levels at $4.47 to $5.63

    Return of the money?
For the past few years, raising money in Greece has been extremely difficult. In mid 2013, only three of the four major banks were able to raise even 10% of their capital needs from private investors and National Bank of Greece (NYSE: NBG  ) just squeaked over the minimum requirement for private capital sourcing. At the same time, the Greek government itself was reliant upon loans from the troika to meet its own obligations.
