Kleiner Perkins has invited the media to a shindig at Facebook‘s HQ late Thursday morning in Palo Alto�that’s been described only as “a special event with industry leaders about the future of the social web.” The one factoid Kleiner provided is that the event will be hosted by Kleiner partner John Doerr.
I’d note that the last invitation I received from Kleiner for an event hosted by Doerrturned out to be an expansion of the company’s Apple-focused iFund, which leads me to wonder if this time Kleiner is going to launch a fund focused on social Web-related startups.
